Based in Helsinki, Kuljetusrinki Oy is an expert provider of waste management and transport services that employs approximately 20 professional drivers. Transport Manager Petteri Kokkonen is in charge of transport at the company.

Kuljetusrinki started using Fleetskills in late 2019. The system is used to manage the qualification and permit data of approximately 20 drivers as well as all data on the company’s vehicles. Kokkonen says that before Fleetskills, “the data was mainly scattered in Excel files in different locations. We wanted to gather all our scattered information in one place. It was important to find a way to reliably control the monitoring of the drivers’ professional qualifications and permits as well as vehicle inspections.”

Implementing the system was “pretty painless in the end”, Kokkonen says. For Kuljetusrinki, the biggest advantage brought by the system is that all the necessary information is now available in real time in one programme, which is actively used by three other people. “Registration for driver trainings is also easy and secure”, Kokkonen adds. Fleetskills makes it possible to carry out driver orientations – such as workplace safety orientations – cost-effectively online. When a driver has completed an orientation, it will be documented in the system.

All in all, Petteri Kokkonen is pleased with the decision to start using Fleetskills. He believes that the future is even brighter. “I think that when new features are added to the system in the future, it will be even easier to monitor the company’s different operations. We are also interested in the upcoming additional modules, such as the HR module.”
